Rachel continued, "By the way, Lori called me and said she was bored. I wanted to go see her, so I asked her where she was, but she said it was a secret. What's going on? Isn't she supposed to be in kindergarten?"

Matthew's expression hardened. Lorraine was still at Opulent Club, and he had already dealt with the assassins from The Fate Order and The Misfortune's Veil. But he wasn't sure if they would send more.

He couldn't tell Rachel about this, so he had to brush it off with an excuse. "Mom took her out to have some fun. She's probably afraid you'll send her to kindergarten, so she's keeping her location a secret."

Was Lorraine avoiding kindergarten? Rachel frowned. "Did the other kids at kindergarten bully Lori?

"If something like this happens, you have to check in with the school and understand what's going on. You definitely don't want her childhood to be left with bad memories."

A warm feeling washed over Matthew. With how much Rachel cared for Lorraine, he felt she deserved his devotion.

"Alright. I got it. I'll head out now."

Rachel wanted to say something but she bit her tongue. The Fuller family seemed to go all out against Wealthwave Group.

She wanted to tell Matthew about it but couldn't bring herself to. As the president of Wealthwave Group, she couldn't rely on Matthew for everything.

Watching Matthew leave the office, Rachel slumped into her chair, frowning as she thought about how to overcome the Fuller family's pressure.

The sound of heels tapping against the floor rang out in the office.

Rachel snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Tracy walk in and immediately furrow her brows. Something was off. Tracy's cheeks were flushed, and her eyes looked misty.

Rachel quickly stood up and walked up to Tracy, placing her hand on Tracy's cheek. "What's wrong? Do you have a fever?"

With a look of disgust, Tracy glanced at Rachel's hand. "Did you even wash your hands? Don't touch me. That's so gross!"

Rachel's expression froze. She hadn't actually washed her hands, but being called out like this was embarrassing for her.

"Calm down. I've always kept a straight face around Matthew. I still play it cool."

With Rachel holding Tracy in comfort, Tracy felt her anger fade away.

But when Rachel mentioned she was reserved, Tracy was furious. "You still have the nerve to say that. You called him Matty, hubby, baby, darling… You're making me blush. How can you say you're playing it cool?"

Rachel's face turned beet red. "W-were you eavesdropping on me?"

Tracy scoffed. "Why would I do that? I was about to come in to talk to you, and I happened to hear those words right at the door. Now, what do you have to say for yourself?"

What was Rachel supposed to say? Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. How on earth could she possibly explain this?

Rachel's eyes darted around as she fumbled for words. "With everything going on at that time, who could handle it? My mind was all over the place, and I didn't even know what I was saying. If it were you, you might have done worse."
