Looking down at her chest, Siren recalled how Matthew's heavy foot had stomped down on her, ruining the voluptuous chest she was so proud of. The crushing pressure and the power that held her down were terrifying.

As a man, Matthew fit the typical stereotype of being wild and rough, almost like a beast. But he…

Siren stared at her impressive, perky chest and rounded hips. With a figure like that, even women couldn't help but take a second look, but Matthew didn't fall for her charm. It left her feeling at a loss.

A car was driving down the road when it suddenly stopped.

Matthew floored the gas, frowning without saying a word. Was he really letting Siren go just like that? Did she actually believe she'd die in a hundred days?

When he left, he didn't even ask for Siren's name, age, address, or contact info.

It wasn't that Matthew didn't want to ask, but he wanted to look confident. He knew he had to be confident about the Shadowtorn Technique to convince her that she'd die in a hundred days.

After all, what he had said seemed too unreal.

Sitting in his car, Matthew watched the cars fly by, and his nerves started to settle. He knew this was a gamble.

If he pulled it off, he would plant a bomb within Springflower. Losing would mean letting Siren get away with it.

Thinking about that, Matthew hit the gas, and the car took off.

Twenty minutes later, a car made its way into Suncroft Village. Matthew stepped out of the car and headed straight for David's place.

As he came to David's front gate, he stopped in his tracks.

Matthew was caught off guard. He didn't think it through when he made his way here. At this point, he wasn't sure how to introduce himself. Out of nowhere, he had an idea. "I heard David has a stone tablet. I'm interested in buying it."

Stone tablet?

Karen looked baffled. "I don't remember having a stone tablet at home. What does it look like?"

Matthew gestured in the air with his hand. "It's about this size, and there are a bunch of names written on it. The thing is made of stone. I'm into collecting stone tablets, so I'm happy to give a way higher offer. If someone offers David 20 grand, I could offer a hundred grand.

"After all, I'm not a businessman trying to make a profit out of this. I'm just doing it as a hobby, not to make money."

Karen was taken aback. That was a whopping hundred grand. It sure was a lot of money.

But she didn't remember seeing something so valuable in the house. "Are you sure you're in the right place? If we had something worth that much, we would've sold it already."
