Molly’s heart raced as she walked to the bed. When she saw the empty glass of hangover soup at the head of the bed, she immediately looked vexed. 

The secretary–general suddenly called her back to the company she thought that there was still time, but she did not expect to see Maeve leave this room at the door. 

Maeve seemed to be mumbling something like “You actually treat me as another woman“… 

The drug had already been done. Molly was afraid that when Byron woke up, he would suspect her. Even if Maeve had already intercepted her, she had no choice but to come in and get rid of the hangover soup.

Byron sneered ambiguously. “The hangover soup I drank last night was sent by you.” 

Molly’s face turned pale. “What do you mean? Do you suspect that I drugged you? You were the one who drank too much last night. When I came to bring you a towel, you took the initiative to pull me… How could a weak woman like me resist?” 

She was crying delicately, and her tone was extremely aggrieved. Her appearance was quite pitiful.

Byron suddenly paused. The feeling that the woman gave him last night was very to Maeve’s.

After giving his instructions, he called Macve. 

No one picked up. 

Maeve did not return to the manor. She was afraid that her current appearance would scare Will and Theo, so she took a taxi to the Hancock family.

‘Only Byron can make Maeve heartbreak like this. How can there be such a ridiculous man?‘ 

Maeve slept until nighttime. When she saw the phone on the table light up, she picked it up and saw that it was Paige calling. “What’s wrong?” she asked, her voice husky as she half pushed herself up. 

“Mrs. Reese, your fiancé, Mr. Mcdaniel, came to the studio today. I’ve already told him that you’re out shopping. He left after waiting for about an hour,” Paige said carefully. 

Paige couldn’t believe she had actually met the CEO of the Mcdaniel Group. 

Everyone in the studio knew that Maeve was engaged to him, but the feeling of seeing him was still different. 

Maeve nodded. “Sorry to trouble you.” 

“It’s no trouble. Then I won’t disturb you anymore.” 

“Yeah.” 

After hanging up, Maeve lay back on the bed. When she saw that there were more than ten missed calls from Byron on her phone, her pale lips pursed tighter and tighter. 

Every time she started to have expectations for him, she would be immediately woken up. 

This time was no exception.
