Just then, there was a commotion ahead. 

A woman exclaimed, “What’s wrong with her face? My god! Her face is red and swollen all of a sudden.” 

Another person said, “Quickly get someone to call the doctor over.” 

Yet another person wondered out loud, “I think she was stung by bug. Oh my god! I think the gardeners might have missed out on spraying the garden and let a poisonous bug sneak in.” 

When Amber heard the commotion, she rushed over and evacuated the crowd. Then, she got someone to help the victim upstairs. 

Unfortunately, the lady who got stung was in severe pain. After taking a few steps, she bent down in pain and could not 

move 

Amber tried to lift her up but failed. Worried, she urged the servants to check if the doctor had arrived 

The doctor rushed over with the first aid kit. 

The doctor announced, “This lady has indeed been stung by a poisonous bug. She has to go to the hospital. Since she can’t move now, it’s best to call an ambulance.” 

The lady cried out in pain loudly. She looked like she would die from the pain before the ambulance arrived.

“You? What are you planning to do?” Amber was surprised. She thought, “Isn’t Maeve a designer?” 

“I brought with me some ointment to treat external injuries,” Maeve explained. She took out a small porcelain container from her bag and approached the lady in pain. Maeve asked, “Can I help you apply the ointment?” 

“Can Can it stop the pain?” The lady’s voice was trembling as she spoke. She was in so much pain that she couldn’t stop tearing up. 

“Yes.” Maeve opened the lid of the porcelain container. She picked up some pale green cream with her fingers and applied a thin layer on the lady’s swollen–cheek. 

Aeolian rolled her eyes and said to Maeve, “You’re brazen for applying a product that doesn’t even have a proper labe on a casualty. If she’s disfigured, who will be responsible for this? You or Amber?” 

Amber turned around and scolded Acolian. “Aeolian, shut up.” 

Amber was well aware that Maeve was doing this out of kindness. She could have just stood by and watched. 

Aeolian pursed her lips. She was annoyed that Amber scolded her for speaking the truth. She thought, Just you wait and see if- 

Before Acolian finished her thought, the lady gradually stopped crying. 

The lady said, “T–I think it’s less painful now.” She looked at Maeve with tears in her eyes and requested, “Can you apply some more on me? It has a cooling effect, and I feel less pain now.” 

Maeve applied the cream on the lady’s entire face. The lady looked like she had a thick green facial mask on. Maeve used up

This cream was a detox and beauty cream Theo had specially made for Maeve. Thanks to this cream, Maeve did not have any acne outburst even though she had been staying up late recently. 

This cream was also very effective against poisonous bug stings As expected, the lady stopped complaining about the pain. 

Amber heaved a sigh of relief. She looked at Marve with even more admiration. She said, ‘Ms. Reese, thank you. If not for your help, the party today would be ruined” 

Amber would have to be fully responsible if somelling happened to the guests at the party she organized. 

Moreover, Amber had to figure out the origin of the poisonous bag since its existence was unsettling. 

“It’s nothing. I just did what I could. Maeve waved her hand in dismissal. 

She actually had antidote pills in her bracelet, but she did not offer it to the lady. She was mainly concerned that the other party would reject her out of caution of consuming something unfamiliar. If anything bad were to happen to the lady after consuming the pill, Maeve would also be in deep trouble. 

Fortunately the ointment was very effective. 

The ambulance arrived quickly. Although the lady had been relieved of her pain, she still had to go to the hospital for a proper checkup.

Amber did not ask about it immediately, but she probed, “Are your parents also in design?”

Maeve was unaware of Amber’s plan. Aside from the bug incident, she was having a good time at this party. 

After the party ended, Maeve bade farewell to Amber and left. Before she got into the car, someone suddenly pushed her into the car from behind. Then, the door was forcefully closed and locked behind her.
