"Of course not," Susan chuckled. "It's just that your request caught me off guard."
"After all, even married couples don't check up on each other like this, let alone us just being classmates," Susan added with a laugh.
"I was out of line," Brandon said, his mouth offering an apology, but his tone not really showing any regret. "Ms. Cooper, you know how to share your location, right?"
He clearly wasn't planning to let it go.
"Hang on a sec, let me check."
Susan's voice was easygoing on the other end of the phone.
Through the speakers of the video call, Brandon could clearly hear the sound of Susan tapping on her keyboard.
Kent couldn't help but glance at his phone screen, then looked at Brandon, puzzled.
Brandon's eyes were fixed on the phone screen, motionless.
He had already pulled the car over to the side of the road.
Kent was in the dark about Brandon and Sophia having had a child together and couldn't fathom why Brandon suddenly wanted Susan's location.
But from the slightly tensed line of Brandon's jaw, Kent could clearly sense that Brandon cared a lot about this matter.
He even faintly felt Brandon's breath hitch, but when he saw the city location Susan sent over, his expression seemed to freeze for a moment, a flicker of disappointment passing through his eyes.
Kent couldn't help but glance at the city location Susan had sent. It was the right city, no mistake.
"Mr. Crawley?" Kent couldn't help but softly call out to Brandon.
Brandon didn't respond, his gaze still locked on the phone screen.
"Susan," he called out to the Susan on the other end.
"What's up?" Susan asked, confused.
"Turn on your location sharing."
Susan was speechless.
Kent watched the phone still in the call, and since Susan hadn't hung up, he didn't dare to either.
There was silence on the other end for a while, but the sound of footsteps and the car door opening and closing were audible. Soon after, Susan's voice commanded, "Please head to the International Trade Center," followed by the driver's brisk "Alright."
Kent glanced at Brandon and could see the disappointment in his eyes deepen, his whole demeanor nearly lost in a daze.
He didn't dare to speak up and interrupt, his gaze shifting back and forth between the phone still in the call and Brandon's handsome face.
About ten minutes later, Susan's live location was shared.
"I've sent my location, you guys check it," Susan's voice followed from the phone.
Kent received it.
Susan's avatar appeared on the shared map, not too far from them, about seven or eight kilometers away.
Kent turned the phone screen towards Brandon. "Mr. Crawley?"
Brandon turned to look, his expression pausing for a moment before he turned his face back to the road.
