It was half a month later when I received the judgment.

As I had hoped, the court ruled that Ethan would leave with nothing.

This included all the properties in his name and his company shares.

Once the judgment took effect, Ethan tried to buy out the company shares at market value, but I refused.

This company was originally started by both Ethan and me, so most of the senior staff knew me well.

Once they learned that I would be taking full control, the employees had little to say.

Only a small group of employees, incited by Ethan, expressed dissatisfaction. I compensated them appropriately before dismissing them.

Luckily, I hadn't been away long, and I quickly took over the company's operations.

After fully taking over, I threw myself into my career.

Ethan and Grace faded from my mind.

The next time I encountered them was at a KTV.

I took the company's employees to a team-building event, and as soon as I entered, I saw Grace and Ethan arguing in the lobby.

They weren't far from me, so I could hear their entire argument.

After our divorce, Ethan rented an office in preparation for his comeback.

But Grace, while he was busy with his career, had an affair with another man.

This time, Ethan caught her in the act.

According to the KTV waiter, Grace was sitting on another man's lap and kissing him passionately when she was caught.

It had been a long time since I last saw Ethan, and he looked much more haggard. His hands clenched as he questioned her, his eyes bloodshot.

"How could you do this to me? I worked day and night for you, and you betray me like this!"

The scene was strangely familiar.

Ethan, at that moment, was just like I had been not long ago, when I lost control.

Grace, however, did not panic. In fact, she retorted with an almost defiant tone.

"It's not my fault you're incapable. Do you think you're still the successful, career-driven Mr. Smith? You promised me a comeback, but a year has passed - has your career progressed at all?"

Her voice grew more emotional.

"Ethan, my youth has an expiration date. I can't afford to waste it all on you. Since you can't give me the life I want, don't blame me for finding someone else."

Her words left Ethan speechless.
