Since that incident at KTV, my life, which had finally calmed down, was once again disrupted.

As I had expected, after breaking up with Grace, Ethan regretted his actions.

He came to the company almost every day, waiting for me outside.

Every time he came, he held a bouquet of roses.

To avoid him, I had to use the back door.

But he clung to me like a persistent gum.

He kept changing his phone number and WhatsApp, trying to reach me, but I blocked him each time.

Then one day, when I came home, I found Ethan waiting outside my door.

He still had a bouquet of roses in his arms.

When he saw me, he instinctively straightened his collar and carefully walked over.

I tightened my grip on my phone and took a step back.

He noticed my movement, and his eyes reddened.

"Autumn, I came here today to apologize."

I just watched him cautiously, not saying anything.

"I'm sorry. I know I was wrong. I have no face to come back to you, but I've thought a lot during this time. The truth is, I've always loved you. We've supported each other all these years, and we've had so many good memories."

His eyes fell on my lower abdomen, and I wasn't sure if he was remembering something, but his eyes reddened again. He choked up when he spoke again.

"If I hadn't been so foolish, maybe by now our child would have been born."

Hearing him mention the child, all the memories flooded back to me. I clenched my fists and interrupted him.

"Shut up. You don't deserve to mention the child."

His gaze darkened, and he forced a bitter smile.

"You're right. I don't deserve it. It's all my fault."

Then, suddenly, he slapped himself hard across the face.

The slap was so forceful that his cheek swelled up.

When he looked at me again, his eyes were full of guilt, almost pleading.

"Autumn, can you forgive me? I swear there will be no next time.

Give me a chance, let's go back to how we were."

He solemnly handed me the flowers, his tone more earnest than ever.
