ASHANTI'S POV.

I’m still upset. My heart bleeds everytime my mind reminds me of the fact that Alina is pregnant with Alpha Reagan's child. Right now my place in Alpha Reagan's life is no longer certain. Soon, the elders will ask him to end our relationship and be with Alina instead since she's carrying his future heir. When that happens, I’m not sure he’ll be able to object.

I love Reagan.

God, I love him so much that it hurts. But this is too much for me to take. I wouldn't be feeling so bad if it had been some other girl, but it just had to be Alina. My sworn enemy in this pack. My nemesis. She's not going to rest until she sends me packing Alpha Reagan's life.

I have to leave.

I have to leave this pack. Find my mother. Start all over. Maybe when I leave I'll find my true mate whose wolf is going to identify me at first glance, because right now, I don't think I want keep living like this. It has only been from one problem to another since the day I started getting close to Alpha Reagan. It's exhausting. I want peace.

When he comes back from work, were going to have a deep conversation and I'll ask him to let me go, because all of this is just too much for me take.

Calmly, I walk to the mirror and inspect myself. Everything looks fine so I exit the closet and almost faint when I step into the bedroom and see Alpha Reagan standing by the door. I had been so lost in thought that I didn't hear him come in.

“Alpha Reagan.” I call, shocked.

“Hey baby.” He greets with a gruff voice. For the first time ever, he doesn't look pristine. He has his suit jacket held on his right arm and his suit case on the left. The sleeves of his white shirt are rolled up to his elbows while the shirt stays tucked into his trousers with his leather belt sitting nicely on his waist.

His hair… oh… his hair…

It’s completely dishevelled.
