ASHANTI'S POV.

“Come in.” I call out the moment I hear a knock on my room door. Immediately, the creaks open slightly and Ryan's black hair pokes in.

“Ryan.” I call, chuckling lightly. “What's wrong? Why are you poking just your head through the door?”

“Your date has arrived to pick you up.”

“Oh…” I double tap on my phone's screen and it lights up. Twenty-eight minutes past five pm. The man is as early as a bird. “Tell him I’ll be right there.”

“Yes Ma’am.” He does a little bow and withdraws his head before closing the door. Still smiling, I turn back to my mirror and push myself up to my feet, inspecting my looks and outfit. Everything looks intact so I pick up my hand bag and cell phone and process to exit the bedroom.

As I descend the stairs, I can already see a well dressed Leonard, waiting for me at the foot of the staircase with a very sexy smile plastered on his lips. He looks very handsome and pristine. His manly cologne is drugging me and I'm smiling like an idiot as I approach him. When I get to the last stairs, he stretches his hand forward for me to take, which I gladly do and he plants a warm kiss on it.

There are no sparks. No shivers run down my spine like they always do when Alpha Reagan does something like this, but it makes me feel good. My face nearly splits into two halves as I smile at him. He's so sweet.

“You look ravishing, Ashanti. I'm so happy I asked you out for dinner.” A small giggle escapes my lips as I take the last step.

“Thank you very much. I'm glad you like the look.”

“”Like" is an understatement. I love it. In fact, I'm obsessed.”

My cheeks heat up and my entire face goes red as I blush at his compliment. I forgot how good it feels to receive compliments from a man. A good looking one at that.

“Shall we?” He says, holding out his right arms which I gladly sling my hands around and look up at me. He blinks and eyes at me, making me giggle even more.

If Alpha Reagan sees this, he's going to lose his mind, but I don't care. If he can give his attention to another girl, I can give line to another man too.

Two can play this game.

Leonard and I turn to leave only to see Ryan standing before us, blocking our way.
