She tried calling him, but received no response.

“Come on, give me some credit. I may not be at your level, but I’m not exactly easy to take down,” Lucien

retorted.

“Why is there such a fuss outside? I asked for no disturbances,” said a young man’s voice from within the room.

Lucien’s demeanor shifted. “Mr. Moreno, my apologies, this disturbance was unintentional. Please, go back to your rest.”

“Alright.” A gruff acknowledgment echoed from inside. Quietness enveloped the room once more.

Maren began to speak, but Lucien quickly pulled her away to a quieter area.
