The cemetery was a place Zack used to bring me often.

He'd told me never to forget my mother and that she had loved me and would have sacrificed anything for me.

I don't remember what she looked like, nor do I remember much about how she cared for me. But I knew Zack was right.

If there was anyone in this world who had truly cared about me, it had to be her.

Every time I came to visit her grave, it helped ease some of the weight in my heart.

I knelt in front of her headstone, placed the flowers I'd brought, and lit a small candle. Tears rolled down my cheeks, one after another.

I didn't know how much longer I had left, and I worried that once I was gone, no one would come to visit her anymore. The thought of her being forgotten hurt me deeply.

All I could do was make sure, while I was still alive, to honor her memory, to leave nothing unresolved.

After leaving the cemetery, I hailed a cab to go back home.

But just as I got in the car, my phone rang. It was Joshua.

His voice was surprisingly polite, even filled with genuine concern. "Samuel, I'm at Square Brew in the city center. Could you come to meet me? There's something I'd like to discuss with you."

I was a bit surprised. Joshua, a popular celebrity, invited me to meet him publicly.

I had no idea what his intentions were.

Still, I followed his directions and made my way to the café.

As I stepped inside, the soft, soothing music wrapped around me, setting a calm atmosphere.

I looked around but didn't see Joshua anywhere. So, I took a seat by the window and decided to wait for him to arrive.
