"I…" Abigail's eyes reddened as she hesitated and didn't know what to say.

"Just leave. There's nothing to talk about between us." I waved my hand and urged her to quickly leave.

She didn't want to leave. Instead, she walked toward my bed and said, "I didn't know if you were telling the truth or not. I only found out about the news of your surgery on television, so I…"

I let out a dry laugh and said, "So you still don't believe me. What's the point of explaining all this to me?"

With a cold expression, Sophia said, "Abigail, there's no point for you to stay here. Samuel needs a good rest. Could you bear to stay here and disturb him?"

Abigail was rendered speechless by Sophia's mockery.

Feeling dejected, Abigail turned around and was about to leave when she saw a nurse walking toward my ward anxiously.
