"Jonathan, how are you, it's been a long time." Thomas politely greeted the councilman.
"That it has, that is has. So tell me, did you know? Is that why you've been living among humans?" Jonathan ask, obviously referring to me being Thomas' niece.
"Believe it or not, I did not. I felt drawn to her and the need to protect her but I had no clue. My sister was clever and hid her well." Thomas replied, I could feel the edge of hurt in his voice. I knew he felt guilt whenever his sister is mentioned.
"Such an interesting story! So many puzzle pieces all mismatched but fitting together." Jonathan exclaimed, showing some enthusiasm. "And what about you dear Amy? How did you get mixed up in all of this?"
"Well I came to school here to study. Noel befriended me on her first day. She's such a kind soul." Amy replied, she was hesitating about what to say next but seemed to decided and with a sigh admitted, "and Thomas here is my mate."
I saw the shock on Jonathan's face before he quickly hid it. I also felt a sense of judgement.
"Please allow me to inform my coven in my own time." Amy added.
"Oh of corse, of corse. Happy to see you've finally found your mate. I wish the both of you happiness!" Jonathan responded, it did not sound very genuine.
Michael, Blake, Gabriel, and the other councilman had been discussing strategy while I was listening to Amy's exchange. Since it was over I turned back to Michael, only to blush deeply when I realized I was caught eves dropping.
"It really is such a wonder dear Noel, you made these friendships before anyone knew what you were. You've successfully drawn together the races, on a small scale, but it's still quite the feat." Blake honored me, I blushed in response. "I wish you knew more about your parents. They were both dear friends and didn't deserve what's happened to them. It is a wonder that your mother was even able to get pregnant with you!"
"I really wish I had answers. I still hold hope that they may be alive and be able to answer my questions some day." I responded sadly. I wanted nothing more than to meet my parents. Suddenly a thought popped into my head. "How long have you known there was a white wolf?"
We talked for a bit more. We ate when it was dinner time then went our separate ways. Michael picked me up bridal style when he saw how drained I was. I rested my head against his chest and closed my eyes.
Suddenly, my eyes shot open and my chest constricted. We were heading to the room that Jackson attacked me! I felt like I couldn't breath, I couldn't go back in there. Michael noticed my heart rate speed up and stopped walking. I could faintly hear him ask what was wrong but I just squeezed my eyes shut, silently panicking.
I heard a door open, my panic rose thinking we were in that room. However, when I finally forced my eyes open we were in a different room entirely. The furnishings were nice and the room was a nice size, not as nice as our room. I was over the moon thankful. I couldn't handle staying in that room. Michael kissed me as he set me down on the bed.
"I knew you wouldn't want to go there love, I will do everything I can to help you. I'm so sorry I wasn't there." Michael said, the guilt written all over his face.
"It's not your fault Michael. I'm sure he was very careful planning what he did. Let's just be thankful I made it out and now everything is out in the open." I replied truthfully.
