Samantha took the phone from her pocket and threw it to Hazel. She then put the new phone Hazel had bought for her away and returned her attention to her notes.

Garrison and Robert stood outside Samantha’s classroom. Robert remarked, “I just heard that Samantha took the diamond necklace Hazel gave to Emily. Apparently, Emily is Einley’s new sister.” 

Garrison, with a cold expression, turned to Robert. “What does that have to do with me?” 

Robert, noting Garrison’s lack of interest in Finley’s affairs, shook his head. “If you say it does not concern you, then it does not.” 

With that, Robert went off to the restroom while Garrison walked in the opposite direction.
