Nathan looked at these family members each rushing to comfort him in their own way. In a certain way, it was kind of hilarious.

They thought he had failed in his job and wanted him to get drunk to get over the disappointment.

He felt somewhat helpless, but funny, and at the same time, heart-warming as well.

This was what family was about. Family means having someone to love you unconditionally in spite of you and your shortcomings.

Just as Nathan's household was eating happily, there was a sudden commotion outside the restaurant, at the front entrance.

A convoy of luxurious cars arrived at the front gate.

The first one was a Rolls Royce, the second a Bentley, the third an extended Lincoln. The rest were all black Mercedes-Benzes.

As the onlookers watched in admiration, a glamorous young man dressed in a white suit stepped out followed by a group of subordinates and bodyguards.

This glamorous-looking gentleman was of Eurasia and Caucasian descent.

He had the height of Caucasians, wavy hair, and the eyes of foreigners but his appearance was similar to that of the locals of Eurasia.

He was Brennan Lancaster, the vice president of the Ariarica company, Quantum Source Pharmaceutical Group.

Other than a large number of bodyguards in suits and ties, Brennan was accompanied by several subordinates of various skin colours.

Among them were assistants, lawyers, managers, and so on.

Brennan looked at the humble Sally's Seafood restaurant in front of him and was a little surprised. “Tsk tsk, Penny Smith, the wealthy chairman of Cross Group, would choose to dine in this small restaurant.”

A subordinate stretched out his hand, gesticulating respectfully, “Vice President, Ms.

Smith, and her family are in the main hall. Please come in."

He did not give a damn as he was accustomed to being loathed but those who detest him could not do anything about it.

On the contrary, with his money and power, he could teach any person a lesson with just a word.

At this instant, he walked up to Penny with a fake smile, put on the appearance of an Ospea gentleman, and said, “Hello, Ms. Smith, I am Brennan, the vice president of the Ariarica's Quantum Source Group. My subordinates have already contacted you. This evening, I am here personally to talk to you about the acquisition of Cross Group.”

Nathan stopped her and then looked at Brennan indifferently. “My wife has said that Cross Group will not be sold. Mr. Pride and Prejudice, you should leave.”

Brennan, who felt that he was half a foreigner and therefore of higher class, was infuriated when he heard Nathan address him by this nickname.
