Of the Giselle stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Salute To The General (Nathan Cross). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 193 Talk Later. Let's read the author's Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) Giselle story right here.
Nathan had just finished his call when Penny knocked on the door and came in, her delicate features pinched in worry.
She had come to persuade him to stop getting too reckless and causing a bigger mess by arguing with the director of MEM. Luke was clearly targeting Cross Corporation; so if Nathan offended the director too, then the company would be in serious trouble.
A small smile played on his lips as he stated, "You're too late; I've already called Luther Ortis."
Her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. "Wait, what? What did you say to him?"
"Nothing much, I just told him that I wanted him to come over for tea and have a talk about how his team of investigators has a grudge against our company."
Penny felt her knees weaken at his words. She called out in a panicked voice, "Nathan Cross, you! Ugh, forget it! I need to come up with a way to salvage all this. Perhaps I should apologize to Mr. Ortis personally."
She spun around and got ready to drive to Luther Ortis' place so she could apologize.
At that moment, her secretary, Jenny, rushed into the office. Her face was anxious as she reported, "President Smith, there's someone here from MEM again."
Puzzled, Penny asked, "Is it Mr. Harper again?"
Her secretary shook her head. "It's not him. It's Director Ortis. He says he's here because Mr. Cross has invited him over for tea."
Penny's face went pale drastically. She thought Luther was here for revenge because Nathan had pissed him off.
She hurried out of Nathan's office with Jenny intending to welcome Luther.
She had just arrived at the reception area of Cross Corporation when an overweight middle-aged man appeared, a box of tea leaves clutched in his pudgy hands. There was an eager smile on his face as he asked, "Where's Mr. Cross?"
Penny made her way over swiftly as she greeted him, "Good day, Director Ortis. What a surprise to see you here!”
A grin stretched his lips as he asked, "President Smith, where's Mr. Cross?"
She fidgeted and replied, "Director Ortis, I apologize if my husband had said anything to offend you earlier. Please don't be mad at him."
Standing up, Nathan reached out to shake his hand. There was a polite smile on his face as he responded, "Director Ortis, thank you for coming. We have some questions regarding the results your team of investigators gave us and also about the way they handled our case. I hope you don't mind addressing some of our concerns?"
Not expecting the esteemed general to shake his hand, Luther was over the moon. "Of course!"
While Nathan invited the director to sit down on the couch, Penny went to brew some tea using the leaves the latter had brought.
Soon, she returned with two cups of steaming tea that she carefully placed before the two men.
Luther kept shifting in his seat, not entirely comfortable as he sat there. He chose his next words carefully, "Mr. Cross, I was in a city council meeting this morning, so I have not had a chance to see the report from my team just yet. May I ask what are
the questions you have?"
Picking up the report Luke had left behind, Nathan handed it over to Luther. "I'm not in a hurry. We can talk after you've taken a look."
