Sylvie Larson left the Smith mansion feeling very humiliated.

Just as she was about to cancel her appearance on TV, her cell phone suddenly rang.

The person on the other end was none other than Jerry Zabinski.

Jerry Zabinski was the eldest son of the Zabinskis, which was one of the Southern Four. The family was very prominent and they had influence in all corners in the South.

Sylvie hurriedly answered the call, and used her most saccharine voice. "Mr. Zabinski!"

Jerry's voice was getting more and more high-pitched by the day. "I told you yesterday that I have a dinner with Mr. Russo tonight, and that I wanted you there to keep him company. I hope you haven't forgotten."

Apparently, Jerry had come across a private research facility by chance. An old professor by the nickname of the 'Mad Doctor,' had led a team of medical experts and found a vaccine that could cure liver cancer.

When Jerry heard this piece of news, he knew it would be a huge business opportunity.

He believed that if he managed to get the rights to the vaccine for liver cancer from the Mad Doctor, then he would be in for a major windfall.

But he also knew that getting the rights wouldn't be an easy task.

This was the Mad Doctor's area of expertise, so he would certainly know the value of the vaccine.

And thus, Jerry had decided to invite Giovanni Russo out for dinner and proposed a partnership with him to try and obtain the rights of the vaccine from the Mad Doctor. Then both of them would be minting money together.

Sylvie's true intention was finally revealed.

She put up a pitiful act even further. "Mr. Zabinski, both you and Mr. Russo are influential men in the South. Could you please help me? I'll do anything to repay your kindness."

Jerry huffed in aggravation when he heard Nathan Cross' name. "So it's that bastard Cross again!"

Sylvie was startled. "Mr. Zabinski, you know him too?”

Jerry didn't answer Sylvie's question. Instead, he instructed her, "You don't need to make an apology on TV tonight. Just come to AFO Club and keep Mr. Russo company. I'll take care of the rest, you don't have to worry about it."

Sylvie was overjoyed to hear Jerry's assurances. With him and Giovanni Russo in her corner, she could finally hold her head high again. "Yes, Mr. Zabinski. I'll be there on time, and I'll make sure Mr. Russo

has a good time," she promised excitedly.
