As I walk to my car, wiping blood off my face from my broken nose, l pull out my phone.

“We have a problem,”I say when Alpha Arden answers.

“What’s that?”

“She found her mate. He’s here at the Academy. You need to handle it or the contract is off and you know what that means.”

He growls. “I knew I shouldn’t have let her go. This is as much your fault as it is mine. You’re the one who agreed to letting her go.”

“And yet, you’re the one who is going to fix it,” I snarl into the phone before hanging up.

I get to my car and set the phone on the hood before pushing my nose back into place so Dolph can begin healing me.

‘We should have killed him, he says.

I’m not sure we could have. That was a lot of fucking rage, I say.

Well, you did instigate him. If someone had said that to us about Lila..'”Hey, handsome. You’re looking a little worse for wear.

I turn and see a very attractive, obviously Alpha, female walking over to me.

“Not the best morning,” I tell her.

She’s the kind of woman who is used to using her seduction to get what she wants. If I hadn’t met my mate, I’d take full advantage of whatever she intends to offer.

But even without my mark on her, I already know that no one will feel as good as my mate when we’re having sex.

“I could see that,” she says leaning her hip against the car.

“Are you Cyra’s boyfriend?”

“Something like that,” I say.

“Hmm. Well, I guess you realized that she and Yorick are pretty inseparable.”

“Is there a point to this?” I ask, annoyed. Dolph is healing me, but I can still smell the blood that splattered on my clothes.

“I thought maybe we could help each other.”

“Oh yeah, how’s that?” I ask, my nose twitching as Dolph heals it.

“Well, you obviously don’t like your girlfriend fucking other men and I want Yorick. I thought maybe we could work together.”I frown. The guy’s attractive I guess, but he’s fated to Cyra.

There’s no way he’s giving her up for someone he’s not fated to. Well, unless he has a reason, like I do.

“And what did you have in mind?” | ask her, reaching into my car and grabbing a clean shirt. I pull off the shirt I’m wearing and put on the new one. I watch as the woman licks her lips, openly staring at me white I change.

“I could be your eyes, let you know what’s going on with them and you can make sure you break them up,” she says.

“That’s already in the works,” I say grinning.

“Good to know. But if whatever you have doesn’t work, wouldn’t you want someone who can keep an eye on them for you?”

She’s right. I’m not sure Arden can figure this out. It would be good to know if Cyra thinks she’s going to get out of this bond. It would be a mistake, but better to know ahead of time.

“Alright. What’s your name?” I ask her.

“Megan.”

“Megan, I’m Stellan. What do you get out of this?”

“I just want Yorick. I don’t like being told no.”

“Alrighty then.”

We exchange numbers, then I get in my car and head home. On the way, I call Christer and tell him what’s going on. My father may have made the alliance bond with Alpha Arden, but my brother is the enforcer behind it. As the Alpha of our pack, he needs to know if this alliance bond isn’t going to go through and if it doesn’t, it would be up to him how to deal with Arden.

Wendy POV

I’m staring at my screen, frustrated. It’s not like Stellan is a common name. If his name was Steve I would understand the struggle to find him, but l’ve searched every possible database I could find and even some that I didn’t know existed until Hacker led me to them. But, l’ve only found one Alpha Stellan in the packs. Scratch that, I’ve only found one Stellan among any of the ranked members listed in the pack directories.

My chat pings and I smile as I see a message from Hacker.

He’s been a wonderful distraction from thinking about Alpha Henry. That and trying to get information about Cyra’s pack have kept me busy and my mind occupied.

I did try to look up Hacker once, but he caught me and I felt so silly that I made up some excuse and he let it go, thankfully. But I’m dying to know what he looks like.

Hacker: I see you’re online, but you’re not doing anything.
