“What’s going on?”
“All the sect masters and eleven Peak Lords of the Sun Shrine suddenly died. However, it turns out that they are entertaining guests at a banquet, and the sound of singing and dancing can be heard.”
Alex was surprised. Even he could see the guest-welcoming doorway made of flowers and decorations with lanterns and streamers inside the mountain gate, filled with joy. Some guests, who had come from afar, rushed to the banquet by riding strange beasts and driving luxury cars.
“Hey, do you know what’s going on here?” Alex asked the Peak Lord whose cultivation base he had sealed.
When he was on the way, he heard that this man was called Gibson Edward and one of the three Peak Lords in charge of the Sun Shrine.
“I don’t know…”
Gibson Edward seemed a little nervous because his hands were tied, and his life was hanging by a thread. He feared the most now that Alex, the great devil, would kill him with one punch after getting the treasures in the vault. When that time came, wouldn’t he be helpless?
The familiar faces that Alex saw were the people who had hunted him down before.
It was Colette Brunel from the Silvermoon Sanctuary and some of her followers. If this woman had not lent the Heavenly Mirror to the Sun Shrine back in Raze City, he wouldn’t be having such a hard time.
At this moment, she seemed to be busy socializing, so she did not notice Alex’s arrival… This was also normal because Alex had not had much interaction with her previously. After a hasty encounter, he appeared before her later disguised.
“The Heavenly Mirror. Since you re so generous, why don’t you let me take advantage of it?!”
Alex pulled Gibson to an empty corner again. When he came out again after a while, he changed into Gabriel Simpson’s appearance. Gibson saw the entire process. He felt depressed!
‘This vile, immoral guy disguised himself as Donovan Orlando to embezzle ten billion spiritual stones. Now that he has disguised himself as Gabriel Simpson, who the hell is he supposed to deceive now?’
Alex saw his expression and sneered. “Fat Gibson, watch your mouth. I’ll leave after reaching the treasure vault, and I’ll even set you free! But if you lack tact, the eleven remaining Peak Lords will make an example out of you.”
Alex did not speak but fully authorized Gibson to explain it on his behalf. Alex did not care about whatever reason he came up with, so Gabriel walked toward Colette right away.
“Sect Master Simpson, I heard you guys went to capture that Rockefeller. So what’s the result? Did you manage to capture him?” Colette bowed to Alex as a junior with a smile all over her face and looked very polite.
After all, she needed to treat Gabriel carefully with her status.
Alex said with a smile. “We’ve caught him. He’s just a minor character. Donovan and the others are watching over him!”
Colette said, “I heard that this minor character has the Chaos Tree in his body. Sect Master Simpson, after you acquire the Chaos Tree, I wonder if you can share a little bit of Chaos Chi energy with our Silvermoon Sanctuary?”
Alex looked at her and thought, ‘D*mn, so this b*tch knows that I have the Chaos Tree. It looks like it’s no longer a secret in the Western Ridge.’
He said, “You’re quite well-informed. No problem. Since you’ve lent the Heavenly Mirror to us, it’s to be considered reciprocity as well! But now, I just happen to have a trivial matter that requires the use of the Heavenly Mirror for a moment again. Can you lend it to me again for a while?”
