Soon, they reached the part where Alex was gobbled alive by the great Genbu during the battle in the swamp. He met the ancient Naga tribe and fought the Undead Queen in the Dead Zone, later attacked by the largest sect of the Western Ridge and the Peacock clan.
He then continued to list out the odd encounters in the Endless Sea…
The entire journey was enough to be written into books as a legendary myth.
Shirley was fully immersed in the story. ‘Isn’t this the world in my dreams?’
“Even though you talked like it was nothing, I know how hard it must’ve been to face all that alone, that many challenges and obstacles.” Daya caressed Alex’s young face.
‘So what if he looked young? He is my husband and my daughter’s father. Some differences in appearances wouldn’t affect our relationship.’
“Will your body remain permanent?” she asked.
“I don’t think so! This is just one of my weird encounters. I practiced a breathing technique, and when the body is trained to a certain level, some bones and parts deemed less functional will be discarded. That’s howl ended up like this. As long as I eat enough, I’ll grow back soon.” Alex smiled.
“A breathing technique?” Daya was surprised, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. But she then took a glance at Shirley.
With a flick of wind from her fingertips, she knocked Shirley out.
“Darling, when you say breathing technique, is it one that could train your organs?”
Seeing how Daya was acting, Alex turned serious, asking if she knew something about this.
Daya said, “From the memories of my awakening, I learned about something. This breathing technique surpasses many training techniques of the Holy Land. This technique doesn’t belong to this universe.”
Alex was shocked.
“If it didn’t belong to this universe, then what was this?”
Alex waved his hand. “I was just giving her a scare. And you’d have to wait until the night to be tied up.”
He then told her about what happened at Dairaionji Temple.
Hearing that the Dairaionji Temple could save her father-in-law, Daya was ecstatic.
Just then, the whirring of a helicopter could be heard outside.
Alex’s glare flashed with silver light as his vision penetrated the structure of the house. He saw a beautiful lady jumping out of the helicopter from fifty meters above, followed by a young man and girl.
It was the Hancocks. Kerry, Samuel, and Freesia.
Even though Alex didn’t know them, he could tell from their looks and aura that they were Shirley’s family. He was afraid that his family would be attacked, so he immediately heaved Shirley onto his shoulders and walked out of the house with Daya.
