Initially, Kerry didn’t allow Samuel to tag along. She knew that kid too well. He was overly obsessed with his sister. However, she couldn’t stand his pleas, and she wanted to ensure Shirley’s safety as well.
Besides, he had promised repeatedly that he’d listen and follow her orders. He also wouldn’t talk back and stay on the sidelines. If he broke this promise, he would willingly punish himself to confinement for six months.
Despite that, based on the current situation, his sister was currently being carried by Alex on the shoulders. She also wore a man’s shirt, her fair, slender legs tied up with rope. It seemed her office wear was torn as well, basically looking as if she had just been assaulted.
Samuel couldn’t possibly calm down after seeing this. His head felt like exploding from the fury he experienced.
“Argh!” Samuel let out a beast’s roar and charged towards Alex.
Kerry didn’t like how things were going, but she wasn’t quick enough to stop him. She’d only managed to grasp a small corner of Samuel’s shirt.
“No, stop!” Kerry tried stopping Samuel with words, but it obviously had no effect.
“I’ll kill you!” Samuel shouted. He sent out a deadly aura which everyone felt. He seemed serious about killing Alex this time.
The faces of the Rockefeller manor people turned fierce. Among them, a flash of light quicker than lightning charged out to the front of Samuel.
It was Pigsy.
Pigsy jumped up into the air and hit Samuel hard on the chest with its trotters.
Crack, crack…
The sound of bones breaking came from Samuel’s chest. He must’ve broken at least three ribs. Moreover, he had a defensive treasure with him at the time, and in the instance of the attack, a green light shone and loomed over his body, canceling out some of Pigsy’s attack.
If it weren’t for that, the injury wouldn’t have just been three broken ribs.
Pigsy, who’d succeeded at the first attack, clapped his hands. “Hmph, where did this feeble rat come from? His face turned green, and now he’s shining in green light! Are you also green with envy because… Hehe.”
“The braised trotter is coming!”
“Aunt! Help!”
Kerry never expected such a thing to happen. An animal that looked like your regular domestic pig had defeated Samuel in a mere second. Not only that, it was currently charging towards Freesia too.
Kerry came prepared. She had brought along powerful treasure, an innate divine tool of her family.
“Whispers of Water!”
It was a red oil-paper umbrella. As it unfurled, it formed a strong defensive barrier.
Thud!
