Jeremy was silent for a few seconds, then started laughing so loudly the skies trembled. The power of the half-stepped fairy realm was revealed in the form of soul pressure.
In an instant, everyone around felt extremely uncomfortable, inflicted by painful headaches, as if they were being choked by the throat. Not only were the people within the formation affected, but the Flying Eagles watching from the outside felt unwell too.
Fortunately, Jeremy only laughed for a while.
“Kid, it’s been a really long time since I’ve seen someone as bold as you. I wonder if you truly have the strength, or are you just plain stupid?”
Alex smiled and said, “Your handicapped son knows best if I’m dumb or not! Jeremy, is it? I’ll give you one last chance. Bring everyone from your Returning Sword Sect now to the Thousand Miles Conglomerate and kneel there for seven days and nights.”
“Repent for your sins, and you might have a chance to reunite with your son, or else… Hmm, oh? Haha! Jeremy, you’d better pray that you have other sons, or it’ll be the end of the Trippier‘s else with this crippled body of yours.”
He’d just found out by chance that Jeremy was infertile.
Xerxes and the others outside the barrier were dumbfounded.
They were stunned not because of Jeremy’s infertility but because of how daring Alex was. He was trapped in a dangerous situation, yet he still had the guts to insult his enemies, as if worried he’d die any minute slower.
“Master, the Martello Celia is in this woman’s possession!” the disciple of Rakshasa Temple, who’d led Alex and Jade here, said respectfully to a middle-aged lady.
This middle- aged lady was actually the sect master of
Rakshasa Temple.
The lady nodded, looked towards Jeremy, and said, “Master Jeremy, we’ve caught our enemies. How would you like to punish them?”
Jeremy smiled and said, “I’ve heard about the Mantra of Intoxicated Dreams of Rakshasa Temple. I heard that you’ve reached the seventh stage of the mantra, and your powers could bring forth hell.”
“This Rockefeller kid has some knowledge on formations. Let’s see if he has the talent to work for me! As for Jade from the Flying Eagles, I’m interested in her too. Finally, Martello Celia should, of course, be returned to its rightful owner.”
He spoke rather loudly.
Outside the barrier, Xerxes’ expression immediately changed as he heard him. He shouted, “Jeremy, you old man! You can’t even have sex at such an age, so what do you want a woman for?”
Jeremy looked outside. “Principal Lawlor, I heard Jade used to be your wife. What a pity that a weakling like you wasn’t good enough for her. I naturally have my reasons for bringing her away. I want her naked and bathes me every day. Do you have an opinion about that?”
“As long as you have enough money, aren’t living women very easy to find?”
“Uh, save it. My vital energy is worth a lot of money!”
Jade rolled her eyes and telepathically said to Alex, “Have you found out anything yet? We’re running out of time. I heard that Jeremy is a half-stepped fairy. Not to mention how cruel the sect master of Rakshasa Temple is, if we make even a single mistake, we’d actually die here.”
Alex replied, “I’ve finished examining the formation, but… I’m afraid a battle is required. I need some time to break the formation because the cores are separated in different places.”
“What can we do then? We’re stuck here… We can’t even move!”
“That won’t be a problem.”
The ‘mud’ trapping them was actually a restriction formed by some sort of law. Logically, the restriction of laws worked on people below Incarnate Deity.
Unfortunately for them… Alex was born to break the rules. The Ten-Point Forbidden Spell allowed him to ignore such laws.
