“What’s that?” Jade came over and took the box from Alex’s hand. “It’s pretty heavy. How could this tiny box weigh at. least five hundred thousand kilograms?
What’s inside it?”
The box was entirely black. There were no patterns that indicated any mechanism on it, and after Alex had observed it for a while, he still couldn’t find any runes.
Most importantly, the box couldn’t be opened.
Jade took out the Martello Celia. “Let me take a hit at it and see if it’d open.”
Alex quickly stopped her. “Don’t smash it. Don’t! If you hit it, it might be ruined. If I’m guessing correctly, this was probably left here by Yuno. She can’t take it out of this tower, and she’s going to come back for it once she’s powerful enough. Fortunately, I could bring it to her.”
Jade pouted her lips. “Hmph! She’s definitely your woman. Look how protective you are of her!”
Alex said, “I’d take good care of your things too.”
Jade snorted. “I’m not your woman.”
Alex searched within the ruins again to make sure nothing had been left behind. Only then did they leave for Heaven’s Mark. Three hundred miles was a quick journey.
They saw a green glow between the skies and the land from a distance. It ranged thousands of miles up high in the sky as if it split the land and sky into half. Law power leaked from above the glow as colossal cultivation surrounded it.
It made anyone who looked at it feel pressured. It could shake one’s soul and drive mental strength to the edge.
Jade marveled, “So this is the Heaven’s Mark?” It looks like a crack in the sky. I can still feel its dense aura. I can’t imagine how it must have been during the war.”
Alex nodded. “No matter if it‘s the red gourd or the Demon Vase, this was still a one of a kind treasure. To think that it’d be damaged so severely by the Heavenly Ax, I’d like to see what it actually looks like!”
‘It must be an invincible weapon.’
At first, the men of Rakshasa Temple didn’t take note of it. They were busy worrying about the Dao Field on Terra Mountain being taken over by the Returning Sword Sect…
However, they soon realized what was happening. The disciples they sent through the door were dying, and their Soul Stones were shattered consecutively within a short time.
They didn’t think that Alex and Jade did it, so they suspected that the Returning Sword Sect was behind it.
More importantly, the Rakshasa Temple didn’t stop sending people in. To their horror, no one came back alive. Everyone died. The door was like a human-eating monster.
The sect master had ordered the disciples to come back out immediately after taking a look, but no one was able to return.
After a while, the sect master of Rakshasa Temple finally realized that the door that Alex had opened didn’t lead to the Dao Field of Terra Mountain but to the Demon Cleansing Tower.
She believed that everyone who entered was now dead.
