Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to After The Breakup Chased By The Trio 22. Let's read the author's The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) Internet story right here.
Chapter 22
1 had regained the confidence that had always been with me right before I got married. My years in that horrible pack had dulled everything, but now, I was finally getting my spark back.
I wanted to tell them how I felt through my wolf, but the swelling pain in my chest reminded me that I couldn’t feel my wolf anymore.
I had to try desperately to suppress my dissimilarity and smile at the reporter.
While they continued to pass on the information to each other, I kept my ears focused on Askhan and Haelor who appeared to be having some sort of discussion.
wish she didn’t have to announce her divorce to the public.” Askhan said grimly.
“What’s the matter?” Haelor sounded a bit intrigued.
“That man’s going to be back.” Askhan shook his head. “That’s another competitor in the game.”
I turned out the rest of what they were saying and turned to complete my interview. After taking a few more questions, the interview finally came to
an end.
“Thank you so much for giving us your time, Miss Melanie.” One of the older journalists bowed his head a little to me.
“It was a pleasure getting to have this interview.” I smiled.
With that, I moved away from the stage and headed to the backroom. It was then, I finally felt let out a breath I didn’t know I’d been holding.
As I grabbed a bottle of water, my mind went back to the conversation I’d overhead. I knew who they were talking about.
The man had been my former senior. I’d stupidly given up on him when he tried pursuing me all because of Jack.
The man who had promised to give me the world yet he shattered mine.
I looked around for Askhan and Haelor, wondering where they could possibly be. Just when I was about to give up on searching for them, I saw them
at the far end of the room.
It seemed they were still deep in whatever conversation they’d been having before I got there. As I made my way towards them, their voices died
down to a hush.
“Adella,” Askhan
“Thank you.” I replied, unable to hide the smile that beamed on my face.
“No need to thank us. It’s just a fact.” Haelor added.
My cheeks were starting to hurt from how much I’d been smiling. Trust the two of them to know the right words to boost my confidence.
“About Emma,” Askhan continued. That got me to listen more attentively.
