Chapter 67
His grip on my waist tightened as he continued to kiss me like his life depended on it. When his tongue continued to slide over my lips, I slowly opened my mouth, giving him the access he desperately craved.
He pulled away, clouds of desire floating behind those blue orbs. If I didn’t know better, I’d have said he’d been waiting for this exact moment right from the time we’d entered the office building.
“Melanie,” He said breathlessly.
I didn’t let him get another word in before pulling him back into the kiss. One thing I’d come to notice was how often I craved good scents ever since I broke my bond with Jack. The elders had helped in doing that and I couldn’t help the feeling of relief that swelled in me at that thought.
When it came to Askhan, he had a pretty nice scent. That much was expected seeing how he was the Royal Prince.
But for the past few days, he’d been overly possessive and barely paid me much mind so thinking about him now wasn’t really something I enjoyed. Quentin also had a satisfying and pleasurable
scent.
We continued to kiss each other, oblivious to anything and everything that wasn’t the other person’s body. I let him run his hand up and down my sides, a small moan leaving my lips as his hands gently massaged my butt.
My eyes flicked back to his desk and something made me pause. It looked like another photo that had been framed up.
Unlike the previous one, this one seemed to be a group photo. It was a bit confusing and had my thoughts reeling faster than I could keep track off.
Back then, I had wished he’d just told me to stay with him. If he had been bold about his intention and asked me to be his mate, I definitely agreed to it.
“Say no to that scumbag. Be with me, Melanie. Stand by my side as my mate.”
But he hadn’t done anything like that. His words had remained pressed together in silence. Well…except for when he had wished me a happy graduation.
I pushed Quentin away, the flood of emotions hitting me all at once. There was a look of confusion in his eyes despite the look of desire in his eyes.

Chapter 67
When I turned away from him, he followed immediately, not giving me a single respite. It was obvious my actions were starting to get to him.
I’d repeatedly seduced and rejected him more times than I could count. Now, he didn’t look like he was about to let me slip away from his grasp.
He followed his werewolf instincts and tried to claim my lips again. I was faster than him though, wrapping his arms around his neck.
“What were you thinking about when you were taking that picture?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” There was a glint in his eyes as his eyes flicked to me.
