In response to how clingy Jessica was, Blake took a puff of his cigarette and patted her head. "Be good. Head in first to wait for the results. I'll go to you after I finish my cigarette."

Jessica saw that he was now relaxed and indifferent. She understood that he would not allow her to make a fuss.

Having no other choice, she swung his arms playfully and said, "Alright, but hurry up."

After Jessica broke that mug that day and saw Blake getting angry, she thought he was just being sweet. That said, she also felt nervous. She then pretended to have a stomachache to soothe his anger.

Fortunately, after Blake picked up the broken pieces, he brought her to the hospital.

He was concerned for her, so it was impossible for her to admit that she was just acting.

He watched Jessica walk to the outpatient department before he looked in the direction where Evelyn went.

For a moment, he wondered if Evelyn was infuriated again after she saw what happened earlier. He frowned and walked over to her in big strides with the cigarette between his fingers.

Evelyn had just unlocked the car and was getting ready to get in when a hand reached out from behind and slammed the door shut.

She subconsciously frowned when she saw Blake.

Blake saw that she looked normal and was not sad at all. His brow furrowed.

"Why didn't you say hello after you saw me?" he asked.

Evelyn pursed her lips in response. She did not expect Blake to come over.

"It's dark, and I didn't get a clear view," Evelyn said calmly. It seemed as if she was telling the truth.

Blake, however, only sneered. "You didn't get a clear view, yet you ran away so quickly? You're a married woman. Is there a need to be so ashamed when you see two people making out?"

Evelyn sensed that he was trying to hurt her. The things he said were so unpleasant to the ears.

She looked at him calmly and asked, "Do you need something from me?"

Blake looked at her indifferent expression and subconsciously put out his cigarette. "You saw me, yet you turned around and left. You're just throwing a tantrum, wanting me to come to you, right?"

Evelyn liked to manipulate him like this in the past. He was never able to win against her.

Leonard had been staying there for so many years, yet Lucas had never come as often as he did in the past few days after Millie was admitted.

Men would only spend their time and money on whoever they loved.

Blake started laughing. "You're quite the saint, Evie. I can't believe you can even bear this humiliation. But do you want me to teach you something? Men would never cherish women who are not worthy."

Blake smirked and continued, "How about you learn from Tiffany? Just some kind advice for you."

"That's between him and me. It's none of your concern," Evelyn interjected coldly. His mockery and efforts to rub salt in her wound did not hurt her anymore.

She ignored Blake's cold expression and left. She did not even explain herself any further. She believed there was no longer a need to tell Blake that she was going to divorce Lucas soon.

Blake's face darkened as soon as Evelyn left.

Jessica called his phone a few times, yet he ignored them all.

It was only after he finished his cigarette that he walked to the outpatient department.
