I stepped back to look at Zane carefully. 

He stood confidently while letting me inspect. “Well

With a smirk, Zane said, “To that so? Maybe I’ll have her help with my wardrobe, too. I’ve been needing someone’s eye for that.” 

His casual tone made it sound like he and Annalise were already close.
