Sasha leaned back on the couch, her gaze full of sympathy as she looked at Zane. It was then that it struck her—he had never planned to attend this event.

She took the payment, used his name as a promotional tool, and claimed to share the experiences he supposedly taught her.

Concerned about the damage to his reputation, Zane had no choice but to intervene and set things right.

Sasha sighed. "I feel bad about what I did to Zane."

But if another chance came up, she might do it again.

"But honestly, do you think Zane would still show up if I pulled the same stunt again?" Sasha asked.

Zane shot her a cold, sideways look and said almost offhandedly, "I'd have my legal team sue you. You'd better forget that idea if you don't want to end up in court."

His voice was firm enough to make it clear he wasn't joking.

Sasha stole a glance at him. The sheer seriousness on his face told her he meant every word. She had no choice but to let the thought go.

"It's just that your business is so successful. Feels like a waste if you don't share what you know," she muttered.

Zane's tone stayed even. "The fact is, what I do isn't all that hard. Anyone willing to cut into their own profits could manage it. The problem is that most business owners aren't ready to make that kind of sacrifice. They'd rather pocket every cent."

I chipped in, "Which means it doesn't matter if they take a class. People like that don't change."

Sasha hadn't considered this before. She'd always assumed that business owners lacked the insight to grasp Zane's management strategies, which was why so many companies remained stagnant.

But now, she realized that wasn't the real problem.

"I'll try convincing my dad to make some changes," Sasha said firmly.

Zane replied with a low hum.

After a brief pause, I said, "Black. It's more formal."

Zane pulled out a black, tailor-made suit, asking, "What color are you wearing today?"

"Burgundy," I said.

He grabbed a burgundy tie and smiled. "People will definitely notice how my tie matches your outfit when we walk together."

Sasha arched an eyebrow. Anyone who saw them together would immediately know they were more than just casual acquaintances. Since when had Zane become so deliberate?

He continued, "Even if we don't say a word, people will know we're a couple."

I couldn't help but laugh. "You're the CEO of Huxham Corporation. Why get caught up in little details like that? It doesn't change anything between us."

Zane slung the suit jacket over his arm. "I'm just a man who hasn't earned your approval yet."
