Chapter 62.

Melanie groaned and squeezed her eyes, flinging them open after a short while.

She felt tired and her head was pounding.

As she sat up she gently looked around to see where she was, she was on a well kept bed and her clothes were now changed to something more comfortable.

As she made to step down from the bed the door flung open and lulu ran into the room in a swift.

She had a blissful and happy face on.

"Melanie! "

She shrieked as she threw her self around her at once.

Melanie smiled and let her hug her all she wants.

"I was afraid you will not come back to us, you were gone for two years as we had to wait for you for a long time!  Thank goodness your back!"

Lulu said at once and Melanie chuckled at her craziness.

"I had a hard time finding a suitable body to dwell in, thank goodness I found Kendall.."

Melanie said  as lulu quickly sat down besides her.

"who's Kendall? "

She asked and Melanie sighed.

"I'm Kendall, Melanie and Kendall are the same person now, you can call me both! "

She replied and Lulu laughed.

"I must say Kendall, your really pretty, and damn hot! "

Lulu teased and Melanie frowned playfully.

"so you mean I wasn't fine at all when I was in m real form? "

She asked and lulu hit her playfully.

"you were pretty.  But what I meant is that Kendall is hotter,and cooler!"

She added while Melanie snorted and stood up from the bed.

"by the way, we're am I? "

She asked looking around the whole room.

"your in your mates house of course! "

Lulu said.

"oh..  So I'm in the pack house? I thought the alpha gave up his position as king? "

She asked to be sure,she was skeptical.

"he gave up his crown as the ruler of all the seven wolf packs in this jungle.  But he is still alpha over our pack, Cole is the overall ruler now I guess, although they haven't made it formal yet.

He just handed back the throne that wasn't really his in the first place, only few people will do that.. "

Lulu said as if looking for a reaction in Melanie's eyes.

But the latter looked away.

"soo.... Where is the bathroom? "

She asked.

"this way.. "

Lulu said as she hopped up from the bed and lead the way to the bathroom.

Melanie gently walked out of the bathroom in only but towels.

She stopped on her tracks as she didn't find lulu in the room, where was she?

"lulu.  Where are you, can you help me get a pair of clean clothes from your own cloths? "

She mind linked lulu but only got a short reply after that she's in the middle of something important and can't come.

Of course she guessed that lulu must be busy with her brother.

As she thought about what to wear she played with her fingers,the former cloth has mistakenly gotten soaked in the water when she went on to take her bath.

She can't use them again.

She slowly walked over to the closet she could see and opened it carefully.

A handfull of clothes were stacked in it so she chooses a large shirt and put it on.

The shorts were too big for her.

There was a knock on the door, she did not reply out of fear but the door opened slowly and he came in.

Ryker.

He had grown more handsome and manly through the past two years and his physique was more build now.

Melanie sighed and itches her head as she stared at him, lacking what to do or say.

He stared at her for a moment before placing the tray he had on the nearby table and turning to face her.

She could feel his eyes all over her, but she kept hers pointed to the ground.

"you should come on and have something! "

He said meekly and she nodded her head in disagreement.

"no..  I'm not hungry! "

She said but her stomach betrayed her at the moment as it made a loud rumble sound.

She heard him chuckle and she embarassedly ran to the table and sat down on it slowly without him telling her anything again.

He gently drew a seat from across him and placed it right next to her.

Then he uncovered the food and asked her to eat.

But Melanie was not able to eat it as all she felt was his eyes on her while she chew on her food which was uncomfortable.

"how have you being? "

She asked, trying to reduced the Awkwardness.

"miserable! "

He said without breaking eyes Contact with her.

"you denied yourself when I talked to you back then, why? "

He asked her and she almost choked on her food.

"the thing is..  I was not supposed to tell anyone it was me unuptill I complete my task.  I couldn't risk it! "

She said.

"you don't have to worry mate.. I'll always protect you, always.. "

He said taking her by surprise.

She gently dropped the spoon in her hands and faced him with a flushed face.

"thank you! "
