Felix’s expression turned rather peculiar when he heard those words. He did not reproach Dora for playing both sides. Instead, he was surprised that Xena would come all the way here because of him. Had she discovered something? 

“I don’t plan on causing trouble for anyone. After all, I’m a law–abiding citizen.” 

Xena furrowed her brows. She stared at Felix for a long while before speaking again. 

“That’s for the best. You know very well how unworthy you are. You think I came here because I was worried about your safety? You’re wrong! If it weren’t for your contribution in finding the Grimflower last time, I wouldn’t care about you at all.” 

She turned and took a few steps, then looked back. “People like you need to know their place. Living an unsatisfactory life should be the least of your worries. If you lose your life, you won’t even have the chance to regret it.” 

Felix smiled as he watched the car drive away. “It’s better if you think that way.” 

He went to the neighboring villa and rang the doorbell. 

Yvonne appeared. “Is there something you need?” she asked.

Felix wanted to refuse. But after some thought, he realized this was the first time Ernest had reached out. How could he say no? Besides, he had already guessed that Ernest was the one secretly helping clear Phoenix Legion’s name when they were framed. 

Otherwise, why would Xena get involved in such a small matter without Felix even asking?

Ernest immediately turned to Jairo beside him. “You can go eat on your own. No need to

about me.” 

If it were anyone else’s place, Jairo would never leave Ernest’s side. But Felix was different. If he had meant harm, he would not have saved Ernest in the first place. Plus, Felix was very strong, so Jairo felt comfortable leaving for a while,
