For some reason, Yvonne seemed flustered. “You must be joking, Mr. Holt Senior. Felix and I are just friends. His grandfather helped support me in the past.” 

After Yvonne finished explaining, Ernest sighed. “No wonder Felix has such strong values. It runs in the family.” 

The meal went smoothly. Ernest left early, as if knowing he should give the two young people some time alone. As soon as he stepped out, he called Sherlyn.

Back in the villa, Felix wiped his mouth and looked at Yvonne. “There’s no right or wrong about what happened before. But as a man, I feel I should do something for you as a favor. I’ll do it as long as it doesn’t go against my principles.” 

A mix of emotions flashed in Yvonne’s eyes. Felix was even more admirable than she had imagined. The incident in bed was entirely her own doing, yet he was the one feeling guilty. 

“No. That incident was my own fault. It had nothing to do with you. How could I ask for anything more?” 

Felix stood up and poured Yvonne a glass of water. “Whether you ask or not is up to you. But I won’t take back what I’ve offered.” 

Shaking her head, Yvonne was at a loss for words. In this aspect, Felix was so similar to her boss. But what could someone like Felix really do to help her? 

“Sit for a bit. I’m going to take out the trash.” 

He had made a table full of dishes, so there was a lot of kitchen waste. Leaving it would make the place smell. With no housekeeper, Felix would naturally have to take care of it himself.
