“Yes. Is there a problem?” 

Jack’s expression turned a bit strange when he heard that. 

“Two hours ago, Warren asked to withdraw from Stellar Group’s city–within–a–city. project. According to the contract, he has to pay a hefty penalty fee. The amount is so large that even selling his entire company wouldn’t cover it. But all Warren told me was to talk to you about it.” 

Withdrawal? 

Felix sighed quietly and drank the full cup of water. He knew full well why Warren was backing out. The entire family was most likely preparing to leave Yartford for good. 

Although Felix said nothing, Jack continued, “This matter was too important for me to decide on my own since I’m still new to the role. So I consulted with the president Surprisingly, she approved it. 

“Not only did she waive the penalty, but she also reserved the project slot for you.” 

Having met Yvonne, Jack wasn’t too surprised by the situation. At most, he was just curious. 

“Well, it’s her decision. I won’t interfere.” 

Jack nodded with a smile. 

“I’m heading to Yartford the day after tomorrow for a meeting. You know Madeline will be there, too, right? I already reached out to her, and we’re planning to have dinner. Just don’t get jealous, okay?” 

Madeline would be in Yartford? Felix didn’t probe further. After all, the capital of Dragonia wasn’t an easy place to navigate. 

“Yeah. When you meet her, lend her a hand if you can. I can tell that she hasn’t changed despite everything. She’s worth helping.” 

“Don’t worry. I’m a mid–level manager in Stellar Group now. I have leverage.” 

As their meal wrapped up, Jack seemed to remember something. “Got time tonight? Let’s grab a drink.” 

Felix frowned. “Probably not. I still have something to deal with later.” 

He couldn’t ignore the issue with Zachary, who had already sent people to his house. that Felix had safely walked out of the Phoenix Legion’s base, there was no doubt trouble would follow. And he wasn’t the type to sit back and wait for the enemy to attack.
