George explained, “Not always. Most items go for cash, but some have weird requirements. You never know until the moment arrives.” With concern evident in his voice, he added, Felix, you’re not seriously thinking of competing with Lady Nala, are you?” 

Felix could not help but chuckle. “What’s wrong? Worried that I’ll drag you into this?” To his surprise, George shook his head. “That’s not it. It’s all fair game in auctions. Besides, Lady Nala isn’t petty enough to hold grudges over bidding. I just really think you should trust me on this one–going up against her is a waste of time.” 

Felix remained silent and turned his attention to the stage. Regardless of who else was after the Moon’s Tear, he was determined to get it. If he missed this opportunity, it was hard to tell when or if another one would actually come again.
