Curtis stood up and stretched before saying, “I’ve only recently recovered, and some of my friends keep inviting me out, so I’m heading out. Xena personally made lunch today, so stay and eat, Felix.” 

“Alright,” Felix agreed. 

The moment Curtis left, Xena shot an annoyed glare at Felix. 

“Don’t think that just because my grandfather said we’re in a relationship, you can ask me to do anything,” she spat out. 

Felix spread his hands nonchalantly. “Relax. I’m not interested in you. I just need to get through this month.”

Xena’s body trembled with anger. She was the dream girl of countless men, and yet here Felix was, saying he had no interest. It felt like an insult. 

“Are you eating or not? If not, you can leave,” Xena said. 

With a wave of his hand, Felix turned to leave. He wasn’t about to waste his energy interacting with Xena. Since they both disliked each other, he figured that for the next month, he would just put up with it for Curtis‘ sake. 

Although the engagement wasn’t officially canceled, at least there was now a clear path ahead. It was better than the uncertainty he had faced before. 

As soon as Felix left, Vivian appeared. She was waiting nearby for him. 

“Vivian, there’s nothing much left for me to do here. You’re free to move about as you please from now on.” 

Reluctantly, Vivian said, “Felix, the Dragon Lord… Yale informed me that he’ll meet you tomorrow night.” 

As the deputy chief of the Earthen Hall under Dragon Alliance, Vivian calling Yale by his name was enough to make it clear that she held little respect for Yale. 

“Got it,” Felix replied calmly. 

After dealing with Yale tomorrow night, Felix knew he would finally feel unburdened. Then, it would be time to think about his future
