“I’m going to die?” the young man asked, stunned. He knew how healthy his body was. How could he be about to die? 

“You don’t believe me? Let me show you some proof,” Felix said calmly. 

With that, he extended his other hand toward one side of the alley, releasing a powerful suction force from his palm. This was an advanced use of Primordial Energy, something only those at the Martial Emperor level could control with such ease. 

The next moment, as the young man watched in disbelief, a figure was pulled through the air toward them. Judging by the expression on the man’s face, it was clear he hadn’t expected to be pulled out from his hiding spot. 

“You weren’t just recording for fun, right?” Felix asked. 

The middle–aged man who hurtled toward them was shocked, but his eyes kept darting back and forth as if calculating his next move. 

“W–what do you want? What did you do to me? Let me go!” the man shouted. 

Felix gave a cold chuckle and released him. Initially, he thought the man had simply taken out his phone to record what he believed would be a street fight. But after detecting the strange toxin within the young man’s body, Felix realized there was more to this situation. The middle–aged man straightened his clothes and put his phone away. 

“You’re crazy! I was just passing by, and when I thought you two were about to fight, I pulled out my phone to record it as evidence. I’ve already called the police. Don’t you dare lay a finger on me!” 

Felix sneered. “An ordinary person, dragged by a force from more than 30 feet away, would at least show some fear. But you? You stayed surprisingly calm. You’re right about one 

thing–I won’t lay a single finger on you.. 

“But I’ll break five of your fingers for you. 

With those words, Felix swiftly snapped all five of the man’s fingers, leaving him howling in pain as he collapsed to the ground. 

The young man was so terrified that he pressed himself against the wall, trembling. “N- no! Don’t hurt me! My name is Lennox Glover! My cousin is Xena – the goddess of war! You can’t harm me!” 

Xena? Felix’s expression darkened. Why did everything seem to connect back to that troublesome woman? 

With a kick, he knocked the man unconscious and turned his gaze toward Lennox.

“If you hadn’t run into me, you’d already be dead by now. Now tell me, who promised to teach you martial arts?” 

Terrified out of his wits, Lennox dared not lie. “I–I don’t know his name, but he shattered a giant stone with just one palm strike! He told me that if I wanted to learn martial arts, I had to land a punch on you. Everything I’ve told you is true!” 

The situation began to make sense now. Lennox had been poisoned with an extremely subtle toxin that lay dormant in his body. The moment he experienced any sudden impact or shock, the poison would activate, killing him in less than five seconds.

The mastermind behind this scheme had calculated things perfectly. Any normal person, when attacked by a stranger, would retaliate. A calm person might try to reason, someone with a shorter temper would fight back immediately. 

The plot was well thought out, but the person who planned this had underestimated Felix’s self–discipline as a martial artist. Felix wasn’t that arrogant. If Felix had kicked or slapped Lennox, the toxin would have been activated, and Lennox would have been dead. 

The key was that the poison would dissipate too quickly for detection, even in an autopsy. The blame for Lennox’s death would, of course, fall on Felix.
