Something felt off at this point. Before Felix could speak, all hell broke loose.

All four doors of the Raptor exploded outward, with windows shattering everywhere. Baldo went flying through the windshield to somewhere about 50 feet away. Only then did he manage to land steadily.

Felix stepped out, studying Baldo. That hit was not weak, yet Baldo only had minor injuries. He had to be a Martial Emperor, at least. 

“Did you use a Miracle Card just to try and kill Mr. Hoffman? I’m impressed by your audacity and your stupidity,” Felix sneered. 

Baldo licked the blood from his lips as his grin widened. “Nope! Who’d dare target the miracle doctor? You’re his disciple, so we knew you’d come instead. Get it?” 

Oh? Felix’s eyes showed contempt. “But you’re not in my league either.” 

A breeze whispered through, and suddenly, a hunched old man appeared beside Baldo. His hair was sparse, and his clothes were ragged like a beggar’s. Still, his presence made Felix 

tense up. 

“Mr. Vernon, I could have been killed if you came any later,” Baldo complained. 

The old man raised his hand, eyeing Felix. “I’m Vilebane Vernon. Have you heard of me?” 

Vilebane? Felix shook his head. “No.” 

Anger flashed across Vilebane’s face. As he made a step forward, thunderous booms could be heard instantly. Over a dozen craters exploded in the ground. He could cause such destruction with just one casual step. Vilebane was really on another level. 

“Ha! That bastard miracle doctor really doesn’t even think I’m worth mentioning to his disciple! How delightful!” 

Felix remained still but was ready to strike. This was his first real threat ever since he became Gerald’s disciple. Honestly, he was not sure about his chances. Vilebane was just too strong. 

“I’ll never manage to kill him in this lifetime. But he has to pay for what he did to me! When I heard you were handling the Miracle Cards I knew my chance had come.
