In Dragonia, martial arts had ancient roots. The modern ranking was simple. Anyone below a Martial King was just called a martial artist. Only those who were Martial Kings or above would be respected in those circles. 

Above Martial King were levels most could only dream of. For example, there was a Martial Emperor, a Martial God, and a Martial Saint. Felix was now a martial artist who had achieved the level of a Martial Saint. 

Most old–timers died without being able to reach that level. To achieve it so young, Felix had to be even better than a prodigy to make it possible. 

So Baldo became utterly excited watching Felix drag himself from the rubble. As he was just a Martial Emperor, the chance to rough up a Martial Saint, who was also a genius, had him shaking with excitement. 

“I’ll take my time with you!” Baldo moved in as he switched from fist to palm. First, he wanted to slap Felix, as nothing could be more disrespectful than that. 

“Know your place!” Felix roared. As his foot came up, Vilebane cursed and flicked his finger. But it was too late. Baldo’s jaw was caught in Felix’s kick. It sent him spinning through the air before Vilebane caught him. 

“Mmph! Mmph!” Blood poured as Baldo tried to speak through his shattered jaw. 

“How dare you, Felix Zeller!” Vilebane’s expression darkened. Indeed, his finger–flick saved Baldo’s life. But attacking Baldo right in front of Vilebane was a pure insult. 

“If I’m going down, I’m taking someone with me. Send him over again if you’ve got the guts.” Felix spat blood too. He had to force his energy out. If not, he would have been too weak to fight Baldo. 

Then, Felix was surprised to discover something had cracked inside him. He had broken through the level of a Martial Saint to the peak of mortal power. 

“What kind of timing is this?” So what if he had broken through? The Phantom Poison was spreading, and there was no way his body would heal. Even at full power, matching Vilebane would be a stretch. His chances of winning were even less now. 

As a powerful martial artist, Vilebane spotted it instantly. “You actually broke through the Martial Saint level now? What a joke. Now die!” 

Something told Vilebane to stop playing around, or things might get worse. He moved in for the kill as his hands arced through the air. 

Just then, beautiful flute music filled the air. It was impossible to trace where it came from. Vilebane’s expression fell. He looked up to see a figure floating down with a flute at her lips.
