As the sound faded, Xena walked in and was surprised to see Fritz there she quiriday masked her reaction and ignored him, secretly hoping he would not mention their relationship in front of her subordinates, especially Alistair that would be ton embarrassing 

“Lady Summers!” Alistair and the others bowed respectfully. Just as predicted, Alistair was not the type to disrespect authority, though his true loyalty remained questionable 

Xena acknowledged them with a slight nod. “Quite a commotion here. Is there anything i can help with? I know I don’t officially start until tomorrow morning, but I hope you don’t mind me asking.” 

The others remained silent until Alistair spoke up. “It’s nothing serious. My sister just went missing for a while, but we’ve found her. Thank you for your concern, Lady Summers 

Felix stood there silently, smart enough to pick up on Xena’s deliberate attempt to hide their relationship. 

“I see. I’m glad it was just a false alarm,” Xena replied. 

As Alistair picked up Yara again and headed for the door, he suddenly remembered he had not gotten Felix’s contact information. If Felix had found someone who could save Yara, how would he know to contact him? 

However, Xena was still lingering there, and Alistair hesitated before deciding his sister’s life mattered most. Bracing himself, he walked over. 

“Sir, I haven’t gotten your name and contact information yet,” Alistair said respectfully. 

The formal address surprised Xena. After all, someone as proud as Alistair showing such deference was unheard of. 

“I’m Felix Zeller. Here’s my number.” Felix did not hesitate, though he was slightly surprised to learn that this man was Xena’s new subordinate. 

“Thank you,” Alistair replied simply. Even though he did not elaborate, his expression said it all he would do anything Felix asked without question. 

“Wait!” Xena called out as Alistair turned to leave, making everyone look at her curiously.” Did you have some kind of conflict with him?” 

Alistair frowned. “No.” 

Biting her lip, Xena walked to Felix and firmly stated, “Alistair, you can be honest with me. Felix is my boyfriend, but if he’s done anything wrong, I won’t show any favoritism!”
