“Mr. Black, could he use these master healers‘ connections against our sect?”

Cecil looked at him with disappointment in his eyes. “I’ve always told you to be vigilant and consider every angle. If you had properly investigated Felix’s actual background, would our sect be in such an embarrassing position now?” 

After this incident, Crimson Sage Sect would definitely be blacklisted by those master healers in Dragonia. Not only that, Cecil had to use up Silas‘ favor. He had really lost big time

“Thank you.” Looking at Xena, Felix had much to say but managed only those two words. 

“Don’t feel burdened by what happened. This is nothing compared to what you’ve done for me! Felix, I only hope that you’ll consider our engagement when my grandfather’s deadline comes.” 

Felix gave a bitter smile. “Some of your earlier views were right. Social standing does matter sometimes. I’m just an ordinary person with some medical skills now. Am I really worthy of you?” 

But Xena smiled, and her eyes shone with sincerity. “I can’t help who I fell for, and I never run from things I’m certain about. Silas said that while you might not be a master healer now, you could still be a renowned doctor. That’s enough.”
