After Calum finished speaking, he turned to Giovanni. “Giovanni, I’ve never asked you for anything as one of your former mentors. Felix has not harmed anyone or insulted the Saphira family. Let him go,” Calum said. 

Giovanni sighed but shook his head. “If this was a few minutes ago, I might have agreed, but now it’s impossible. You should know that the authority of the Saphira family is unquestionable. 

“Take him away!” 

At this point, Felix was getting frustrated. All he had come to do was speak a few words, but they were pushing things too far. He didn’t want to make an enemy of the Saphira family, but that didn’t mean he was afraid of them. 

Xerxes, still trying to hold back his laughter, had already guessed that Felix wasn’t from Meadowspring. However, it no longer mattered. Once someone crossed the Saphira family, there was only one outcome, regardless of whoever they were. 

The large man who served Pearly also smirked slightly. His employer’s prediction had been spot on. Felix’s death would likely help her vent some of the frustration that had been building from the Silver Flute’s interference. 

Just as Felix was about to release energy from the Innate Realm, a voice suddenly rang out. “Is that you, Felix?” 

Felix turned, surprised to see the person who had just called his name. It was Kennedy, who was present during the destruction of Crimson Sage Sect. He was initially going to protect Jaden, but he ended up switching sides. He was wearing a blue suit, indicating his affiliation with the Saphira family. 

“Uncle Kennedy!” Giovanni and the other Saphira family members present quickly bowed respectfully to Kennedy, indicating his considerable status. 

“What’s this? Do you want to protect Calum of Meadowspring?” Kennedy asked. 

Seeing that Kennedy was a familiar face, Felix nodded. “Yes, can you do me this favor?” 

Kennedy smiled. “Of course, I can do that!” 

He pointed to Calum. “Let him go, and all his offenses will be forgiven. Let him continue to manage Meadowspring.” 

Giovanni’s expression changed instantly. “Uncle Kennedy, this might not be appropriate.” 

“Are you talking back to me?” 

Fear spread across Giovanni’s face, and he immediately fell silent, rushing to untie Calum.

“My employer will likely need an explanation, sir.‘ 

Kennedy narrowed his eyes at him, clicking his tongue. 

“An explanation? We know you want to use our hands to kill someone. If it were some ordinary person, I wouldn’t care, but Felix is not an ordinary person. If your employer has a problem with that, they can bring it up with our higher–ups.” 

The large man’s expression darkened. As Kennedy took another step forward, he added, Kid, know when to stop. When he gets serious, he’s not human!
