“Let’s go,” Felix said. Since his plan failed, he would have to think of something else. 

After returning to his villa and just finishing a bath, the doorbell rang. Seeing it was Yvonne, Felix was tempted to pretend he hadn’t heard it. Alas, his lights were still on. 

When Yvonne entered, Felix greeted her with a smile. “How are you settling in Canraville?” 

Yvonne was wearing a yoga outfit that accentuated her figure. She said, “While I was practicing, I threw a punch and suddenly felt a dull ache in my chest. Can you take a look?” 

Felix didn’t call out the oddity of wearing yoga clothes while practicing martial arts. Instead, he stretched out his hand. “Let me check your pulse.” 

Though he could tell from her condition that nothing was wrong, he still needed to give a thorough check since she had asked. 

“You’re fine. It’s probably just a bit of air trapped in you,” Felix said. 

Yvonne shook her head. “No, I still feel discomfort. Please check more carefully.” 

Without warning, she started to take off her top, but Felix quickly stopped her. “We’ve known each other for a while now. Just say what you want. If I were that kind of person, I wouldn’t need your hints. I’d have already made the move.” 

Yvonne crossed her arms and looked somewhat tense. 

“During the Walsh family incident, you stood up for me in front of so many people. Was that really just about me pursuing my happiness? Do you really feel nothing for me? Now that I have the freedom to choose, you’re starting to pull back. Or did I misunderstand?” 

Felix had already considered bringing Yvonne into his life, but the appearance of Madam Spring had complicated everything. The problem was, this was something he couldn’t speak openly about. 

“Our relationship was always a mistake, but as a man, I need to take responsibility. Now you have the freedom to live your life the way you want. At least, I’ve done what I was supposed to do.” 

Sorrow spread in his heart as Yvonne started to tear up. 

“Then, what about Lady Nala? She sent me here to Canraville. She also said she’s willing to start over with you as a boyfriend and girlfriend.” 

Originally, Yvonne had hoped to keep Felix to herself, but things weren’t going the way she had imagined. The reality had become far different from her expectations, so she decided to reveal her true mission. 

“That doesn’t matter. You seem a little confused. Please head back to rest,” Felix said.
