Felix had already changed into his pajamas and finished washing up. He was now preparing for bed. 

However, just then, the doorbell rang. He was puzzled. 

Who could be visiting at this late hour? 

His expression was strange as he saw Xena on the video monitor. 

“Do you have something else to discuss?” he said. 

Seeing that Felix was outside but hadn’t opened the gate, Xena felt a surge of irritation. However, remembering her inner suspicions, she held back her frustration. 

“Although it’s a bit late and my visit is somewhat inappropriate, is this how you welcome your guests?” she snapped. 

Felix opened the gate and turned to walk away. 

“Come in,” he said. 

Xena was even more annoyed by his attitude. 

After all, she was the first goddess of war in Dragonia–beautiful and talented, the dream woman of countless 

men. 1 

Yet, every time she encountered Felix, it felt as though he had a way of filtering out her extraordinary beauty as if he simply couldn’t see it. 

• “Get to the point. I’m about to go to bed,” Felix added. 

Not wanting to dwell on anything else, Xena got straight into the matter. 

“You’re a martial artist, right?” she asked. 

Felix frowned. He wondered how Xena knew he was skilled in martial arts. If she dared to ask, she must have already gathered some information. 

“Yes,” he answered. 

“Then be honest with me. Did you kill Nocturno? This man in the picture,” Xena asked. 

Felix glanced at the photo Xena held and shook his head, saying, “I’ve never met this person. Besides, do I look like a murderer to you?” 

Xena wasn’t ready to give up. So far, Felix was the prime suspect, and she couldn’t think of anyone else. 

“He is Nocturno, a Super S–rank wanted criminal in Dragonia. He was powerful and ruthless. He had hundreds of victims in his hands. So, can you tell me the truth now?” 

Felix continued to shake his head. He didn’t even bother to say another word. He had never felt the need to explain himself to anyone. 

He would never deny something he had done, but this situation was entirely different. 

First, whether Nocturno was a Super S–rank wanted criminal or not, he was indeed a killer. Second, Xena was the goddess of war who was responsible for such matters. Admitting this would mean he would be labeled a murderer, and Felix had no authority in law enforcement.
