Chapter 683
Chapter 683
Willow and Queenie gasped in fear as Clement charged forward. He raised his fist, only to have a knife pressed against his neck.
“Playing the hero? Look around. Do you think you’re a match for all of us?” Zechariah taunted.
Meanwhile, Felix had quietly emerged from the restroom. No one noticed his return.
He assessed the situation calmly. With his skills, he could have easily intervened and neutralized the threat in moments, but he chose not to.
Clement needed this moment–to stand his ground as a man and protect his pride. Felix also had his own priorities. He was the one seeking help from Clement and had to tread carefully.
He was considering intervening when he spotted a familiar figure loitering near the doorway.
“Huxley,” Felix called out with a faint smile.
Huxley, who had been enjoying the spectacle, froze. When he turned and saw Felix, his legs nearly gave way.
“F–Felix?” he stammered.
Huxley was usually the type to rush into a fight, but ever since his traumatic encounter with Felix, he had vowed to stay out of trouble. To make matters worse, he knew who
Clement was.
“Go whisper something to Zechariah,” Felix instructed. “I will tell you what to say and how to say it.”
Huxley nodded so vigorously it was as if he were a bobblehead. At this point, even if Felix had told him to jump off a bridge, he wouldn’t have hesitated.
While Felix gave his instructions, Clement stood his ground, glaring fiercely at Zechariah.
“Apologize to my wife right now! If you don’t, I swear you won’t leave this room in one piece.”
Willow started to rush toward them but was stopped by Clement’s stern voice.
“Stay back! If I can’t defend our dignity here, how can I call myself a man?”
Tears silently streamed down Willow’s face as she stood frozen in place. She knew how much Clement loved her. How could she not?
Zechariah jeered, “You’ve got nothing–no money, no status. What gives you the right to

talk to me like that?”
Something bizarre happened just as Zechariah reached out to grab Clement by the collar. The man holding the knife to Clement’s throat suddenly collapsed as if his legs had turned to jelly.
Freed from the threat, Clement, consumed by rage, delivered a solid punch to Zechariah’s face.
What followed was utter chaos. Every time Zechariah’s men tried to intervene, something strange happened–one tripped over himself, and another accidentally struck his own ally with a bottle. No one could get close enough to stop Clement, who was unleashing his fury unimpeded.
To Queenie and Willow, the chaos seemed like a result of the drunken brawl. However, Huxley saw everything clearly. His teeth chattered as he realized the source of the disruption–Felix. This was the man who could turn any situation in his favor, the true master behind the scenes,
Finally, Willow ran forward, pulling Clement back before things escalated further.
