Jordan’s expression turned horrifyingly sullen once he heard the word “Grimflower“. He barked, “Damn it! Felix has got some nerve!” 

A sense of foreboding arose in Xena’s heart as he asked, “W–What is it?” 

“Grimflowers are rare herbs, but they’re highly poisonous. How cruel of Felix!” 

The news was so shocking that it sparked murderous intent in Xena and Belle at once. They wondered if Felix resorted to extreme measures because he couldn’t get what he wanted. Even if that were the case, wasn’t he being too bold? 

“Quit panicking!” Wesley spoke up while glaring at his precious apprentice. “You’re right. The Grimflower is indeed highly poisonous. However, whether it’s harmful depends on the state of the person ingesting it and how one prepares this herb.” 

After saying that, Wesley pointed at Curtis‘ mouth. “This specific Grimflower looks paler. It’s evident that someone has treated it with acupuncture methods.” 

“Acupunture?” Even for Jordan, that was his first time hearing about such a bizarre thing. Mr. Cane, do you mean traditional medicine practitioners like us can also perform acupuncture on flowers?” 

Wesley nodded. “Of course, it’s possible to perform acupuncture on anything. It merely depends on how advanced your medical skills are. The person we’re dealing with is extremely skilled in medicine for performing acupuncture on the Grimflower to this extent. 

“Their skills can put me to shame, at the very least.” 

The three froze, alarmed that a mere Grimflower could make Wesley admit defeat.

He then stood and headed out. “I’ve got other pressing matters, so I’ll be on my way now. There are only two ways to save your grandpa. 

“First, find the elderly miracle doctor and have him take action. Or, you can locate the person who put this Grimflower into your grandpa’s mouth. 

“The latter can very likely save your grandpa’s life.” 

Although Jordan’s mind was still a mess, he still sent Wesley to the door. 

Only Xena and Belle remained in the bedroom, their features wide with shock. 

Xena asked, “Could it be that I misunderstood Felix? Maybe his medical skills are great, but I never allowed him to demonstrate his abilities.”
