After laying down the law with a glance that held more warning than words, Cyrus couldn't believe what he had just heard. Fighting for Hayley had gotten him into trouble with the police, and Caleb had spilled the beans to Nancy!

Having overheard the conversation, Nancy interrupted with a frosty voice, “Just happened to pass by. If I hadn't come, I would've been none the wiser about your little scuffle over Ms. Grant here.”

Nancy's smile turned into a smirk laced with irony as she felt Hayley's touch. "Oh? And who's the better man? Cyrus or the father of your baby?"

Silence fell over Hayley while Cyrus quickly stepped in, patting Nancy's shoulder and reassuring her, “Nancy, please. Don’t be petty. Though Hayley is with Norton, she’s also one of my employees. Jack, the jerk from our office, made a move on her, so I stepped in.”
