Cyrus' expression softened, and seeing this, the hospital director cautiously made his exit.

The door to the room slammed shut.

Looking as pale as a ghost, Hayley turned to Cyrus with a forced smile. "Cyrus, I'm okay. Don't worry about me."

Cyrus took her hand firmly. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to our baby."

Seeing a hint of a smile on Hayley's face, even a touch of bashfulness in her eyes, she asked, "Cyrus, why are you so good to me?"

Cyrus was stunned, suddenly picturing Nancy with her beaming smile, asking, "Cyrus, why are you so good to me? Do you like me that much?"

The thought of him leaving with Hayley, leaving Nancy amidst the crowd watching them, unsettled Cyrus. But Caleb was there, too, so it wasn't all bad!

Noticing Cyrus' distracted state, Hayley interrupted with annoyance, "Cyrus!"

Cyrus snapped back to reality. "Don't worry about it. We've got our baby to think about."

Hayley's mood instantly lifted, but before she could continue, Cyrus' phone rang.

Cyrus answered swiftly, "Speak."

Caleb hesitated, "Mr. Gordon, after you and Ms. Grant left, a swarm of paparazzi surrounded Mrs. Gordon!"

"What did you say?"

Overhearing, Hayley felt her heart skip a beat. Were the paparazzi giving Nancy a hard time?

Cyrus' handsome face darkened, "Where's Nancy now? Give her the phone!"

"She's not with me. Mr. Robertson showed up and took her away from the paparazzi."

Cyrus' mood soured even more. Baldrick was at the police station, too?

Sensing something amiss, Cyrus stood up abruptly. "Caleb, did you call Nancy there?"

"No, I happened to run into her at the station."

Outside Maple Grove Residences, Nancy turned to Baldrick, "Mr. Robertson, thanks for your help."

"It was nothing." Baldrick smiled. "So, does this mean you owe me one? Pay me back when you can?"

After pausing for a moment, Nancy said, "As long as it doesn't cross any lines or compromise my principles, I'll repay the favor."

Baldrick didn't expect such a serious response and chuckled. "Nancy, you haven't changed a bit, always so earnest. Okay, I'll remember that. I've got to go."

Nancy stepped out of the car, waving goodbye to Baldrick until he was out of sight, then turned to go inside.

Just as she entered the living room, her phone rang.

It was Alexis. "Ms. Gonzalez, we've started to review your documents. Everything seems in order, and we should have your identity canceled within a week."

"That's great news. Please proceed as quickly as possible," Nancy responded, relieved to hear some good news.

But as she hung up, a chilling voice scared her out. "Nancy, what are you canceling?"
