Indeed, Oneida had deliberately lied so they would take the bait. 

She effortlessly swapped the irritable black horse for a docile one. 

Everything that was happening now was within her expectations. 

“It’s a fact that I lied, but if Juliette hadn’t been greedy and insisted on taking the horse, she wouldn’t have ended up in this situation,” said Oneida, her gaze lightly drifting ahead. “So for me, she doesn’t deserve any sympathy.”

Hendrick also noticed Oneida slowly catching up to him, but he remained calm and composed, moving forward like a gust of swift wind. 

Oneida narrowed her eyes slightly and accelerated once again. 

She wanted to surpass Hendrick and become the first–place winner. 

But just then, her horse emitted a piercing and painful neigh that echoed through the air. 

The horse appeared to be spooked and lifted its hooves high. It turned its head and rushed off the race track and straight into the woods. 

Oneida was caught off guard and couldn’t stop her horse in time. 

She could only stay on her horse as it rushed forward recklessly. 

Everyone was stunned by the scene. 

They all stared wide–eyed, watching Oneida and her horse disappear into the woods! 

They thought, “What’s going on? There’s a problem again with another horse! Both Juliette’s and Oneida’s horses went mad!” 

All eyes turned toward the direction of the woods as everyone wondered where the horse had taken Oneida. 

Since the race was still ongoing, most riders did not halt their horses but continued to ride while observing the situation. 

However, Hendrick and Matthias stopped. 

They looked at each other and simultaneously turned in the same direction, riding toward the woods. 

“What’s going on? Are they giving up on the race?” the crowd exclaimed. 

“Are they going to find Oneida?” 

“Can they even find her? It seems difficult!” 

Meanwhile, Ronald was at a loss for words. He never expected that after Juliette’s incident, Oneida’s horse would also go mad. 

He immediately went to look for the rescue team, silently praying that Oneida would be lucky enough not to fall into life–threatening danger.
