Chapter 45 

After parting with Jackson, Oneida went back to Lucas‘ car and returned to the villa in Quakersville.

Lucas couldn’t help but feel a little reluctant since Oneida was about to move out. “Ida, are you really going to move out? You’re young and still studying. You really don’t have to live with Jackson.” 

Oneida understood Lucas‘ reluctance, but instead of staying in Quakersville, she preferred to stay by Jackson’s side.

“Dad,” she called out in a low voice. Her tone was unusually gentle. “I’ll still come back to visit you often.”

Lucas couldn’t say anything more at that point, so he just sighed.
