Jackson ignored Fiona,

Instead, he looked at the maids with a cold face. “From now on, she will be the lady of the house.”

He obviously referring to Oneida.

“Treat her like I do.” The man’s voice was low and magnetic. It was pleasant, yet it was full of unbelievable dominance. “I don’t wish to see this situation again.”

The maids‘ faces instantly turned pale when they heard that.

Fiona’s body stiffened, and the smile on her face suddenly disappeared.

Even if they didn’t like Oneida, she was already married to Jackson. Hence, she was now Mrs. Bane.

And they were just a group of lowly maids.

Jackson must have seen their behavior just now.

Seeing their negligence and rudeness to Oneida earlier, Jackson had spoken up to reprimand them.

“Understood, Mr. Bane. We will remember what you said, and we will serve Mrs. Bane well in the future.” The maid immediately began to show their loyalty and respect.

Several maids began to move Oneida’s luggage to the room first.

Only Jackson and Oneida were left in the hall.

Oneida slightly pursed her lips as her eyes grew deep.

Just now, Jackson was defending her and helping her to reach a standing in the household.

She didn’t expect that.

She was so happy that she couldn’t help smiling and asked Jackson in a low voice, “Jackson, were you defending me just now?”
