We led them to the pack house in silence. Questions were swimming in my mind, I could hardly wrap my head around things, I didn’t want to believe what I was thinking.

I needed answers and I would get them today.

We led them straight to my office where, but before Jake and Dris could enter I blocked their path, “Would you guys mind giving me a moment to speak to them alone?”

They shared a look, but nodded anyway.

“Thank you guys, could you please get someone to prepare a room for them and notify the kitchen team that we have three extra guests tonight.” I requested before entering and shutting the door behind me.

“Please have a seat.” I gestured to the seats as I walked towards my table and picked up the framed picture that I placed there when I first occupied the office. The youthful, smiling faces of my parents greeted me causing a familiar pain to bubble in my stomach.

“When I was eight years old my parents were abducted by rogues before my eyes. Seeing the way you protected little Ana today reminded me so much of how they put themselves in danger to protect me.” I took my seat behind the desk, still holding the frame in my hands.

“How long were you both in prison for?” I asked, placing the frame flat down on the table and met the gaze of the couple before me.

“We’re not sure. We woke up one day with no recollection of whom we were or where we were. A man by the name of Kane told us that we were held captive and drugged by a pack which is why we lost our memories and that he and his men saved us. He convinced us to join his rogue group and for years we worked for him, till we found out the truth a few years ago. We have been planning our escape since Tatiana was born and finally succeeded a few weeks ago.” Asher explained, finally opening up.

“Can you tell me what the rogues are planning? Surely it must be something big if they kidnapped pack wolves just to increase their numbers?” Asher nodded.

“They are, but I’m sorry, I don’t know much of what their plans are apart from the fact that they plan to derail as many packs as they can and take over the whole world.” He sighed, seeming ashamed for not knowing much, causing my heart to lurch.

“Please don’t feel bad, we will figure out what they want in time; I am just glad that you three made it out alive.” I smiled.

“You are a good person Alpha Allison, your parents would be proud of you.” Hannah said in such a motherly way that tears gathered in my eyes.

“I hope they will be. Would you like to see a picture of them?” she nodded hesitantly and I pushed the frame across the table to her.

Asher looked up at me before picking up the frame from the table to not disturb Tatiana who fell asleep in her mother’s arms on the way to the pack house.
